The Mississippi Department of Health needed a more efficient, user-friendly onboarding experience. The existing process relied heavily on paper documents and in-person explanations, which often left new hires overwhelmed and created bottlenecks for HR.

Modernize the process. A virtual onboarding slideshow was developed. It introduced key HR personnel, outlined the department’s structure, and included step-by-step walkthroughs for completing new hire paperwork. Designed for clarity and accessibility, the format allowed new employees to engage with the material remotely—no in-person sessions required.

The slideshow became a core part of the department’s virtual onboarding strategy. It reduced administrative strain, improved consistency, and offered a more flexible, accessible experience for new hires—especially those onboarding remotely.
